Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is a hand-drawn art 2D action game. You travel through Hallownest's forgotten kingdom. More than 150 corrupted monsters must be fought. The objective is to reveal the mysteries that lie far under the surface. You must discover the terrible reality of the kingdom's demise.

How to Play Hollow Knight

Your main job is surviving the difficult combat. You play as The Knight. This small figure uses a Nail as a weapon. Combat requires precision and strategy against over 150 unique enemies. You must also collect and focus Soul energy. This Soul is used to heal or cast powerful spells.

Unlock New Movement

Progression needs new abilities. You must find and unlock key movement upgrades. These include the Dash and the double jump. Purchasing map things early is always a priority because it is quite difficult to explore without them. 

Investigate the Depths

You have to navigate vast, interconnected universes.  These include ancient cities and gloomy caverns. You need to use the Quick Map (the Tab key) once you buy the necessary map items. Finding hidden paths and charms is vital. This increases your power and reveals the deep lore of the world.

Default PC Controls

• Arrow Keys: Move the Knight (left, right, look down).
• Z: Jump.
• X: Attack using the Nail.
• C: Execute a Dash (must be unlocked).
• A: Focus Soul (heal or cast Spells).
• F: Quick Cast (fast spell deployment).
• I: Opens the Inventory.
• Tab: Opens the Quick Map (requires a map item).
